Module 1: Foundations of the Leadership Role

Goal: Building a leader identity and strengthening the sense of one's own role.

  • Introductory workshop: Challenges and new responsibilities in the leadership role.
  • Working with values: What values do I want to represent as a leader?
  • Fundamentals of Competency Models: An introduction to competency models as a tool for leader and team development.
  • ElementThe Psychological Game: Identifying and avoiding psychological traps in team relationships.
  • Preparing a Leadership Exposé: How to effectively communicate your vision, goals, and values to your team.

Developmental effects:

  • Participants will identify their core values as leaders.
  • They will prepare a draft version of the leader's exposé.
  • They will become aware of the challenges associated with the leadership role.

Team communication

Goal: To improve a leader's communication skills.

  • Lecture: Leadership communication models and styles.
  • Practical exercise: Active listening in difficult conversations.
  • Simulation: Leading a team meeting – communicating information clearly.
  • Feedback: How to respond to employee questions and concerns.

Developmental effects:

  • Increasing active listening skills.
  • Gain practice in conveying information clearly and effectively.

Module 2: Difficult Conversations and Negative Feedback

Goal: Developing patterns for conducting demanding conversations.

  • Workshop: Constructive feedback techniques (SBI, FUKO).
  • Practical exercise: Scenes with difficult situations (e.g. failure to complete tasks, conflicts in the team).
  • Case study: Analysis of problematic situations from the participants' everyday work.
  • Individual work: Creating conversation plans based on real challenges.
  • Elementy Manager 3.0: A modern approach to management – how to engage the team in decision-making processes and build a culture of shared responsibility.
  • Strategic thinking: Tools and methods supporting strategic decision-making (e.g. SWOT analysis, Eisenhower matrix, 5 Why method).
  • Coaching and mentoring methods: Introduction to TOP (Theory of Practice) and TOC (Theory of Constraints) in working with goals, supporting individual and team development.

  • Developing the ability to conduct difficult conversations and provide negative feedback.
  • Practical knowledge of the use of strategic tools in everyday work.
  • Ability to create conversation plans and support the team.

Delegating and receiving tasks

Goal: Learning how to effectively delegate and receive tasks from the team.

  • Lecture: Why is it worth delegating and how to do it well?
  • Practical exercise: Creating clear and measurable goals for tasks.
  • Feedback: Feedback on the team’s work – appreciating and pointing out areas for improvement.
  • Simulation: Session of delegating the task and receiving the results.

  • Ability to clearly delegate tasks and define expectations.
  • Developing the ability to evaluate task performance and provide feedback.
  • Understanding the importance of appreciating team work.

Module 3: Managing stress and emotions

Goal: Developing skills in dealing with pressure and emotions in a leadership role.

  • Introduction: How does stress affect a leader and a team?
  • Exercise: Breathing and relaxation techniques for use at work.
  • Teamwork: Recognizing emotions in a team and responding to crisis situations.
  • Simulation: Managing emotions during difficult conversations.

  • Increase awareness of the impact of stress on the leader and team.
  • Mastering relaxation techniques for use in everyday work.
  • Developing the ability to recognize and respond to the team's emotions.

Module 4. Summary and Development

Objective: Consolidation of acquired knowledge and development of individual development plans.

  • Exercise: Reflecting on Change – from Colleague to Leader.
  • Workshop: Creating a personal leader development plan.
  • Discussion: Challenges for the future – how to further build your competences?
  • Leader's exposé: Presentation of your vision, strategy and plan for team development with a summary of training activities to date.
  • Closing task: Prepare an inspiring message for the team.

  • The ability to summarize previous activities and create a coherent vision for the team.
  • Developing an individual leader development plan.
  • Increase confidence in communicating team strategy and goals.
